Dr. Jorge Planas brings over 30 years of international experience as one of Europe's most distinguished specialists in plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery.

He currently serves as Medical Director of Clínica Planas in Barcelona and Madrid — the institution founded by his father, Dr. Jaime Planas, as the first plastic surgery clinic in Europe. Selected by Forbes Magazine among the 100 Best Doctors in Spain, he leads a clinic globally recognized for its surgical excellence and more than 50 years of medical leadership.

After earning his degree in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Córdoba, Dr. Planas specialized in Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery at the Università degli Studi di Tor Vergata in Rome, where he obtained his Cum Laude (50/50 e lode) PhD on ultrasonic treatment of capsular contracture. He also holds a Diploma in Surgical Laser from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB). A surgical innovator, he is the inventor of devices such as the Capsulotomus, Capsuloblast and Nanofat Planas Kit, and pioneered in Spain breast augmentation with the patient's own fat, the validation of stem-cell extraction from liposuction fat, and ultrasonic rhinoplasty.

He is a full member of the world's leading scientific societies, including SECPRE (Spanish Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery), ISAPS, ASAPS (corresponding participant), AECEP, EASAPS and EURAPS, and served on the Executive Council of FILACP (Ibero-Latin American Federation of Plastic Surgery). He is a founding member of the Spanish Society of Antiaging and Longevity (SEMAL, former Secretary General), the European Society of Antiaging (ESAAMS), and the Barcelona International Medical Academy (BIMA). He has authored 10 books, published more than 50 scientific articles, and delivered over 200 conferences worldwide. He has been awarded the Gold Cross of the Agrupación Española de Fomento Europeo (2006), the Gold Medal of Foro Europa 2001 (2013), the European Medal of Merit for Work, and is an Honorary Academic Member of the Illustrious Ramón y Cajal Academy of Health Sciences.

As a founding member of AMREF Salud África (Princess of Asturias Award for International Cooperation 2018) and patron of the Jaime Planas Foundation, he has led surgical missions across sub-Saharan Africa for more than two decades.

At Axo Longevity, Dr. Planas contributes surgical mastery, scientific rigor, and an artistic eye to the design of aesthetic and regenerative protocols, ensuring every member receives care grounded in the same standard applied at one of Europe's most prestigious medical institutions.
